Trade Ambassadors
We are delighted to introduce you to our WineGB Trade Ambassadors. They are an important group of trusted trade leaders who help us to tell the story of the quality of our wines to the UK and the world.
WineGB’s Trade Ambassador Scheme
WineGB launched its inaugural Trade Ambassador scheme, at The WineGB Trade Tasting on 8th September 2025. The scheme is designed to spotlight the exceptional work being done across the On and Off Trade to champion English and Welsh wines. The initiative aims to:
- Celebrate professionals who actively promote the category,
- Build a network of likeminded ambassadors to share ideas and insights,
- Amplify the story of UK wines through trusted voices in the trade.
With nearly 70 applications, the selection process was highly competitive. The WineGB team shortlisted 20 candidates, with the final 14 Ambassadors chosen by members of WineGB’s Sales and Marketing Working Group. The selected group represents a vibrant cross-section of the industry – from independent wine bars and Michelin-starred restaurants to national retailers – all united by their passion and commitment to English and Welsh wines.

Jack Thorpe
Why do I like English wine, English wine really shows the personality of the winery and of those who make it. The range in styles shown across England is really special and there is always something interesting fun and new to find. The amount of creativity shown across the country trying new techniques and styles of wine I think really helps drive English wine forward.
