On 30th November 2017 it was announced that Vicky Bishop has come back into the wine trade to join Furleigh Estate, producers of award-winning sparkling wines in west Dorset, an up and coming wine producing region. The vineyard which was only planted just over 12 years ago has already yielded fruit for world-class medals: the Furleigh Brut Rose 2010 took the Regional Trophy in the Japan Wine Challenge 2017, and the Furleigh Estate Classic Cuvee was the first English vineyard to win a Gold Medal at the Effervescents du Monde in Dijon in 2012.

Bishop who ran her own PR & marketing company in the wine industry is no stranger to the world of premium quality fizz. Her previous clients included Veuve Clicquot Champagne, Hunter’s (NZ) Miru Miru, and Chapel Down in Kent.

Having spent time in the coffee industry and project managed a new house build she was keen to return to the world of wine. At Furleigh Estate she will be focusing on the company’s increasingly popular Wine Club and working with Rebecca Hansford, owner of Furleigh Estate on a number of other projects soon to be revealed.

When asked about her new role, Bishop’s enthusiasm for the product already shone through: ‘I’m really looking forward to working with Rebecca and her team at Furleigh to develop a calendar of events for the Wine Club that will appeal to the local community.  Furleigh Estate is set in such a magical corner of Dorset. It is the perfect venue in which to create events to showcase these excellent wines to both the current and new Wine Club members.’

Rebecca said, ‘We are delighted that Vicky has come on board at this point of our development, she has a wealth of industry knowledge which we look forward to tapping into.'
