Nyetimber unveiled a new label design this Summer as part of their 30th anniversary celebrations.
The new labelling features a shield design which Nyetimber say is symbolic of their “craftsmanship, relentless attention to detail, and pioneering spirit”. Across all bottles, coloured accents sit behind the shield label embossed to work in harmony with the cordon, while the solid outline surrounding the label highlights the shield shape.
The rebrand comes shortly after Nyetimber head winemaker Cherie Spriggs was crowned Sparkling Winemaker of the Year at the International Wine Challenge. Cherie is both the first winemaker outside Champagne and the first woman to win the award.
Nyetimber is known as the first English wine producer to exclusively grow the three celebrated Champagne grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, making them one of the early pioneers of traditional method English sparkling wine. The category is increasingly regarded as a serious competitor to Champagne, and blind tasting triumphs are now a regular occurrence.
Fellow Sussex sparkling wine producers Ridgeview also updated their branding recently. In collaboration with Brighton creative agency CookChick, the house created a new identity based around a sleek “RV” lockup and the motto “Life is for Celebrating”.
