Lyme Bay Winery rebrands to LBW Drinks and receives highest accreditation from British Retail Consortium

LBW Drinks has been awarded an A* rating in its unannounced 2020 audit from the British Retail Consortium Global Standard (BRCGS) – a leading global brand and consumer protection scheme.
Regarded as the highest benchmark for best practise, quality and safety in the industry, the BRCGS certification is used by only 25,000 suppliers to the food industry in more than 130 countries to demonstrate exceptional standards in areas such as food, packaging, storage and distribution, retail and consumer products.

This is the fourth year running that the business has achieved the award for quality standards. LBW Drinks continues to be the only English Winery with BRCGS accreditation.

The company has also rebranded to LBW Drinks, incorporating Lyme Bay Winery and Jack Ratt as brands under the umbrella of LBW Drinks. This reflects the continued innovations made by the business, marketing leading drinks in multiple categories.

The rebrand is indicative of a company with a track record of evolution. Established in 1993 as the Lyme Bay Cider Co, the business has experienced continued growth and change, with the first English wines being made in 2013.

Today, LBW Drinks is recognised as one of the leading English wine producers under the Lyme Bay Winery brand. Not only creating its own fine wines, but also working with leading supermarkets such as Aldi and Morrisons to produce exclusive label offerings.

It is also known as the creator of Devon’s first spiced rum (Jack Ratt Lugger Spiced Rum) and remains the UK’s leading producer of both mead and fruit wines.
