Oastbrook Vineyard Opens For Weddings

Sussex Estate invites couples to tie the knot beside the vines

Oastbrook Estate in Sussex is inviting engaged couples to tie the knot at America Brewer’s vineyards in the Rother Valley.

On Sunday 6th September, owner and winemaker America hosted a socially distanced launch event to show wedding planners, happy couples and wine friends how to celebrate a ‘new normal’ wedding – in an English vineyard.

A stone’s throw from Bodiam Castle and in the heart of the rolling Sussex countryside, Oastbrook Vineyard is licensed for ceremonies at different locations in the 60-acre estate. Vows can be exchanged in a gazebo in the heart of the vineyard, under a floral archway amongst some of the 20,000 vines or in the Rivendell-inspired tasting room, which has views through to Oastbrook’s future winery.

A wine-themed wedding day can be fashioned for couples, from cocktails by the pool area overlooking vines, to a wedding breakfast paired with Oastbrook’s still and sparkling English wines set in the vineyard itself. The vineyard’s own Hobbit House (which is the Quirkiest Place To Stay 2019 Eviivo awards) with outdoor jacuzzi at Oastbrook serves as a bridal suite with vineyard views, and wedding parties can glamp in style in the fields on the estate.

As owner America Brewer comments, “We are opening up Oastbrook as a destination for people to come and share in the tranquillity of this magical place. A wedding is one of the most special moments and we want to help people in love to share their special day safely but with a little luxury. How romantic is a private vineyard for a beautiful wedding day!”

Oastbrook is now taking bookings for 2021 and beyond.
