WINEGB SOUTH EAST AGM & TECHNICAL CONFERENCE
This is held once a year, usually in March, and comprises a short general AGM, an update on our latest activities and a Technical Conference with guest speakers. There is also an opportunity to network with other members over a delicious lunch.
Our Social Events, such as the Summer BBQ and Harvest Celebration Meal, allow our members to network, exchange ideas and socialise. Alongside delicious food and drink, we hold tutored tastings, quizzes, invite speakers and hold other wine-related activities at these events. We offer subsidised places for members and their families, so you don’t have to be a member to join in! See the Industry Events calendar for the latest upcoming social events.
WineGB South East organise biennial study tours to allow members to learn from other wine producing areas of the world and get to know each other. To date we’ve been to Champagne (2011), Alsace (2013), Germany (2015) and North-East Italy (2017).
These tours consist of visits to small and large producers, wine tasting, some social time, masterclasses from industry professionals, and other wine-related learning activities. The tours to date have received great feedback from all who attended.
In the past we have managed to secure grant funding towards the cost of visits to ensure members’ receive the best learning experience at a reasonable, subsidised cost. We hope to secure further funding for future tours.
