A Message from the Chairman

As we have all seen over the last couple of years, English and Welsh wine is seeing growth far exceeding any industry forecasts and the sector is the bright light in UK agriculture with vineyards being planted across the breadth and depth of our island.

We need to work together to maximise our potential by managing this exceptional growth and putting in place long-term structures that will secure a sustainable and profitable future for everyone involved.

The role of your trade organisation, Wines of Great Britain, is to work with all members – both large and small - to plan for the future and deliver tangible benefits that are relevant and accessible, that will foster growth and encourage new entrants into the market and help expand businesses over the long-term.

I believe that by working closely together we can achieve great success for our high quality products both here and abroad. We must ensure we are properly recognised as a wine region with an international reputation for quality and innovation by setting and adhering to high standards and evolving into a Great British Success Story.
