Yield limits and amendments to the PDO/PGI scheme

WineGB has submitted a draft application to Defra to ensure beyond any doubt that English and Welsh PDO and PGI wines can be made from the 2018 harvest despite arcane rules on yield limits.  WineGB are proposing to enhance the taste tests applicable to still and sparkling PDO wines, making it clear that if passing all of the PDO except the taste test, the wine can be sold as a PGI wine.
