The Wines of Great Britain annual trade & press tasting is the key event for the English and Welsh wine industry, bringing together producers from across the country.

During the Tasting three seminars took place which well well attended and received:
WineGB in 2019: An Industry Coming of Age
Chairman of WineGB, Simon Robinson together with WineGB Director David Parkinson presented the results of the industry survey based on the 2018 growth and production figures. Following the industry’s first ‘Looking to the Future’ paper produced last year, these results showed just how successful 2018 was for the industry, and how it is meeting our long-term growth projections.
Unveiling of Harpers England Wine Stars 2019 and trade-focused panel discussion on opportunities for UK wines
Trade panel discussion chaired by Helen McGinn (Knackered Mother’s Wine Club), 2019 Chairperson of Harpers Wine Stars. Other panelists included trade buyers who have also judged in Harpers Wine Stars.
The 2019 England Wine Stars were unveiled during this seminar, which was also be accompanied by a tasting of some of main winners.
The Panel Discussion centred around the three key categories upon which the Wine Stars are Judged: Taste; Value; Design.
Wine Tourism: Vineyard visits and making the most of Wine Tourism in the UK
Panel discussion around the burgeoning wine tourism industry in the UK. The panel included three contributors each with a unique insight in to tourism and its growing significance in the UK today and in the future:

Harry Cragoe Owner of The Gallivant, a leading hotel based in Kent
Nick Wenman Owner of Albury Vineyard in Surrey and Chairman of WineGB South East, the UK’s biggest wine region. WineGB South East is launching a brand-new tourism booklet for the region: Wine Visitors Guide, London, Surrey, Sussex & Kent\
