A 24-acre organic vineyard, established in 1991 on two sites between Kent and East Sussex, with a winery based at Rotherfield. Davenport specialises in top quality organic sparkling and still wines, made in an environmentally sustainable way, using the most natural methods possible (in both the vineyard and winery). All the grapes are grown organically, most wines are fermented with natural yeast, many are bottled unfiltered, packaging is kept as simple as possible and fully recyclable. All the wines are low in sulphites. The wines have won many awards and accolades over the years including the UKVA Gore-Browne Trophy, Montague Trophy and Vintners Trophy plus the Soil Association’s Wine of the Year (on three occasions). Wines are available from the Davenport Vineyards web site with UK-wide delivery, and are stocked by many top restaurants and wine shops.
